Olympus 75mm f1.8 - Black

Offering The medium-telephoto equivalent focal length of 150mm, this Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f1.8 lens is excellent for portraits, either in the studio or on location and can also be used as a candid street or travel photography lens. This longer focal length not only renders your models beautifully and naturally but also enables you to achieve a tighter crop within your images without having to physically be close to your subject. This increased distance between you and your model helps capture more unguarded and natural moments, for eye-catching and memorable portraits.

Large maximum aperture - shallow depths of field

The previously mentioned longer focal length of this Olympus prime lens works in conjunction with a large f1.8 maximum aperture to help create images with very shallow depths of field. This means only your foreground can be kept in focus and sharp, while the backgrounds are reduced to a dream-like blur. This is a favoured effect for professional portrait photographers and is sure to add a new level of sophistication to your work. Also included in the construction of the 75mm f1.8 lens is a 9-blade circular aperture which ensures these out-of-focus areas, or bokeh, are of a beautiful and natural appearance.

Discreet autofocus - for movies and stills

As we previously touched on, the 75mm f1.8 lens is by its nature excellent for discreet shooting and is not a lens that will spook your subjects. Further emphasising this quality is the Movie and Stills compatible autofocus, which is very quick and also virtually silent. As its name suggests, this AF motor is not just handy for shooting stills, but also perfect for HD movie shooting. This will be especially appreciated when you are watching your movies back at home and you don't notice the autofocus working away in the background.
