This lens uniquely features a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, extending the focal length of your lens to a huge 840mm. Need more reach still? Consider pairing this lens with an additional Nikon Z teleconverter to harness even greater magnification. As the teleconverter included in this Nikon lens is internal, it has been specially tailored to be a match to the quality of this lens, so there is no drop-off of standard with the teleconverter engaged. A one-stop loss of light will of course be experienced, meaning the new maximum aperture of the lens is f5.6. When you decide to engage or disengage the teleconverter, minimal effort is required, as this function can be performed via an intuitively placed switch.
